We're off to a good start, averaging over 7 knots with northerly winds on the beam. Nice going. A bit bumpy so no fishing lines out at the moment.
This is the first time we've left for sea without having to hunt around the cupboards fop mysterious and incessant clanking glasses and pick up overlooked books that have flown from their shelves. We're slow learners...
The wind is forecasted to shift to the NW so we should start to track a bit north of east overnight. 161 miles down, 1963 to go.
